Description : The contract is for a back to back (BTB) HVDC Voltage Source Converter (VSC) at a power level of 600 MW with the BTB converter station located in the Republic of Moldova. One side of the converter station will be connected to the Moldova 400 kV AC network and the other side to existing (and future) AC transmission line(s) connected to the Romanian 400 kV AC network. The Contractor will be required to complete the basic and detailed design, manufacture and test the required equipment, ship to site, construct the Vulcanesti back-to-back substation, and commission the Vulcanesti back-to-back substation.
